Default Tailpipe Drip, what is it?

Hey guys,

My '99 Disco II has dripped something out of the tailpipe since the day i bought it. It doesn't seem to have too much to do with temperature. It's just a drip like I would expect to see coming from an idling car on a cold winter day, expect I get it all the time (at idle). What is it, and should I worry?

It's probably just condensation. If it smells strongly of coolant and you get white smoke at startup, you could be looking at a bad head gasket, but if it's just a few drips here and there, that is completely normal.

Got it. It's more than a few drips here or there, it's pretty consistent. I've never seen any white smoke thought. Trunk has 115k on it right now, but the head gaskets have already been done.

Are you losing coolant?

Then you're fine. Water is a bi-product of combustion. Just keep an eye on your coolant levels.
