Default Temporary 3 amigos?

One time (a few months ago) they came on and turned off once the engine was shut down. Today, after picking up the Rover from the stealership the 3 amigos turned on for the second time. I was driving down a short parking ramp when they lit up. So I drove another 4 or 5 blocks, pulled over and re-started the engine. They did not come back on during the ride home, about 15 minutes. Anything I should try to look at or is this another random occurance?

Thanx

Uh Oh. Could be ABS wheel sensor , could be a broken/damaged wire, could be squeaky brake pads, could be worn hub assemblies.......I had the same problem and the only thing that fixed it was a new AB$$$$$ modulator.[:-]

FWIW I experience the same thing. I'll go for weeks without seeing them then hit a bump in the road and on they come, only to disappear after restarting, much the same as you described. No codes are thrown when I plug in my OBD scanner so I really have no answer to the question other than to suggest it is one of the quirks that comes with the beast.

Hmmm. The PO changed his own brakes and I'm pretty sure they aren't genuine LR pads. My brakes do squeal when braking at slow speeds, but figured it was because he (the PO) didn't add the goop to prevent that from happening. Should I replace the pads with LR ones to avoid extra dust from mucking up the sensors? Is this a sooner than later thing to be safe? My plan is to install an OME lift around April and was thinking of getting new pads installed then since the wheel is off anyways. Any ideas?
