Default Temporary fix?

I am out of town for a few weeks and my wife is home in Wi with our 2003 se7. It started to have a miss so she took it to the dealer to get it checked out, they said that the number six plug wire needed to be changed. They wanted 400+ to change it. My question is can a plug wire be temporarily routed above the intake or am I going to have to find a friend to do it the right way? I just will not be home to fix it for a few more weeks. Any help will be much appreciated.

As long as the check engine light is not flashing she can keep driving it as it is.
$400 to fix one plug wire is a huge rip off.
You can do all the plugs and wires yourself for $150.
EDIT:Go and buy yourself a good OBDII, it will set you back about $100 but it will save you the $120 the dealer wants just to tell you whats wrong.
With the scanner you can find out whats wrong yourself.
The only reason you need the dealer is to empty your wallet.

I would think it can routed anywhere you want temporarily as long as you don't wrap it around the exhaust manifolds. The good news is that plug 6 is on top and easy to get to without having to remove the others.

dont be mean spike... was that the price for 1 or for the whole set?? and yeah, like spike said, its its on solid, itll be ok to drive... but, if you can get someone to put it on at the coil, getting it to the plug is the easy part... luckily #6 is pretty easy to get to, even with secondary air

Sorry roverguy, your dealership is not included in that statement.

No kidding a ripoff, thanks guys . The light came on but is not flashing. They did not charge her any thing to read the codes, I am sure that they would have charged me but I am not as cute as she is. LOL I will see if one of my buddies can help her throw on the new wire and I will do the rest when I get home.

For arouind $150 and 4 hours of your time, you can buy a set of 8mm Magnacore wires and plugs and install them yourself, Go for it.
