Default terra grapplers installed, pictures

Just got home from having new Nitto terra grappler tires put on in 255/55/18 they replaced my very worn mastercraft courser tires. So far very happy with them, they handle great on our curvy country roads and felt as smooth as highway treads. I also took it out on the farm to see how they handled off pavement and they did not disappoint. They are no comparison to worn out street tires, places where it used to take traction control 20 or so sec to sort out the spinning tires it now did it instantly. Just a quick kick in of the traction control and the tires would bite and go. I do have a question though, what psi do those who run these tire use for best wear?

Great tires. So here is the big question for you, what air pressure did you have them put in those new shoes?

You want between 38 and 40 pound equally between all 4 tires.

So Mike, would you recommend the same psi for a 265/65/18? I see that the original recommendation in the door is for 32f/40r (or something like that). For the time being, before I can swap out my 18" wheels and tires for 16" wheels I'd like to know what you think a good everyday pressure is, and what is safe to run when off-roading.

Those tires have some nice tread for the 18" hurricane rims. I used to have those exact rims on my HSE. I ran 38psi rear 36 front on road/street, at that pressure was firm, but a descent ride. Find what feels comfortable for you. 40psi rattled my fillings loose, but it my be OK for you.

Thanks for the replys and info on the tire psi. As far as snow traction goes it had pretty good reviews.
