I think your damper is not your issue. take it off and see if it still does it.....my guess would be yes.

Steering damper will not cause a wandering effect.

How's your steering box? I had a tightening the large nut on top of the box to take up some of the slop in the steering.

Tf discovery steering damper does not return to the center, i thought it was a bad damper, because my TF p-38 damper does return.
But ORF found the same thing on his D2 steering damper. i say try OME

Thanks Drowssap.

I was finding that there are two TF, one that returns to center and one that does not, and I seem to have the one that does not.

Coors, It does not seem to be steering slop. If I turn the wheel, the tires do immediately move, but I till look at it again to make sure.

Is the stock steering damper RTC? I made the mistake of changing everything, including the damper at the same time I did the lift. I love making troubleshooting harder on myself.

Terrafirma RTC is for Defender fitment, not Discovery, it will not fit a D2.

What did you find trying the stock dampener? I just installed the TF dampener, track and drag links and have wonder/ pull to the side.

I also just did my ball joints. Ordering adjustable pan hard rod.

Looking at a 2-3” lift but not wanting to also mess with caster. What did you find out?

I have adjustable TF steering stabilizer set on soft(way better than non adjustables), 4" lift, 6 degree adrenaline 4x4 castor rods, adjustable pan rod, NOS steering box (with adjusted top nut for no slack), new ball joints, new rod bushings... Tracks dead straight and does return to center (but just not as well as stock)...

@XRAD Do you haul stuff: gear or overland etc or are you wheeling on trails?
