RTE probably got the best reviews but their so called 2" springs were closer to 3" and I dont want to throw a bunch of money at other suspension parts right now to make a 3" lift work.

Any thoughts?

Personally, I wouldn't buy Terrafirma shocks again. I would spend a few more bucks. OME or Bilsteins. And do not buy a Monroe shock either! Junk. MO

I still think your frontend is sitting taller with the TF 2inch Medium kit since it's expecting you to have an aftermarket front bumper or a winch installed. I've seen your post on another forum and no one except me has mentioned that a 100% stock D2 with the medium TF kit "should" sit taller in the front. If you wanted it to sit level you shouldn't have installed the medium kit. They sell 3 rates of springs Light (OEM), Medium, and Heavy Duty.

I have installed 3 TF medium kits on stock disco's and until an aftermarket winch or bumper was installed the front was slightly taller.

Have a 250LB person sit on the front end and I bet you it will sit much closer to level.

People bash TF, but I had OME Shocks & Springs before and the springs sagged quickly and the shocks either didn't last long or the bushings completely fell apart in a very short time.

I was not at all impressed with the quality of OME for the amount of money! I also tried to warranty the shocks/springs and that was a joke... Apparently if you drive it more than 3k they're supposed to sag, crack, and leak...

For what it's worth, I've got the OME setup listed below and no extra weight at the front or rear, being an S model... No low hanging rear end here.

As a matter of fact I can put two passengers in the back seats and a few hundred pounds of gear in rear and it still will not sag. It does ride better though.

I am one of the strange people I like my TerraFirma AT shocks on the 110. I paired them with Genuine Springs and the ride is good for a Defender lol.

I'll have a go at this one too!
I am a tech with a little over 30 years experience (wow makes me sound really old but I'm only 48 1/2).
Springs change ride height NOT shocks!
If you had replaced springs and left it on old /worn out shocks you have likely fatigued the new springs and that is why your ride height has changed.
Good shocks cushion the entire suspension INCLUDING the springs from every bump and crack in the road that you travel. Think of hitting the spring with a hammer a couple hundered times a day for a couple years. That's pretty much what you have done.
Good shocks would have prevented it but the damage is now done.
Replacing shocks alone now will NOT improve your ride height issue.
Unfortunately new springs AND good new shocks is what you need to correct your height concern.
As for the plus 2 inch debate. The shocks have a 2 inch longer extended travel over the stock length shock. Even with the stock shock you would not be at the end of its extended travel but you will loose 2 inches of extension during articulation. You are not loosing ride height because the shocks are maxed out. They are not. Shocks are also designed to work at their optimum in the mid point of their full travel (again an advantage of plus 2inch shocks)
I run Terafirma shocks (plus 2 inch with a 2 inch lift) and think they work great. In my opinion they are a top notch product.... Any Terrafirma reps. wanting to send me a cheque make it out to "Cash"
So please don't blame the parts. You killed them and there is no bringing them back to life. Educate yourself in advance, read , ask questions, do it right the first time.

Directly from TF and I quote:

"TF042 Medium load front coil springs are designed to provide 2 inches of lift on a Discovery 2 with a medium load up to around 50kg additional equipment fitted, such as a discrete winch mount and winch. The TF042 only fits the front of Discovery 2.

More than 2 inches of lift will be achieved when less than 50kg of additional equipment is fitted. No additional equipment may lead to too much lift causing drive shaft vibration and steering geometry problems."

Are we talking shocks or springs? Like I said, TF springs are supposed to be pretty good. I didnt look a their shocks/dampers. For dampers Im looking at Bilsteins but I cant find the Discovery listed for their 7100 series.

Ive read a lot of that problem with OME.

Well, like I said I did my research like I always do when I buy products. My concern is that I only put 8,000 miles on them in this configuration. Bad dampers can wear out springs in 8,000 miles? Also, I noticed this sag right away when I installed them. Thats why I agreed with the problem being limited damper extension.

Well Im 155 lbs. I stood on the front bumper and it only compressed 1/4". So its still way high compared to the rear. Im still thinking the problem is the rear not the front not being high enough.

Are your rear spring isolators installed? That won't make a huge difference but I have seen people leave them out during a lift install or coil replacement.

Defiantly not a issue with shocks extended to their limit. Without a doubt not the issue.
