Default Terraform Shocks

I recently had my springs powder coated and decided to switch out my Fox shocks for Terrafirmas. Everything seemed to fit right but when I took her off the jack stands she was squatting in the rear compared to how she sat before the upgrade. Any ideas?

Which Terrafrima TF# did you buy/install?

That's a steering linkage set part number I believe and tf225 is coil springs.

Which Land Rover are we dealing with? Does it have a lift?

Oh and Fox shocks are the cat's meow, why ditch them for TF?

I can only surmise that the difference in ride height has to be attributed to my changing the shocks because they were the same springs that went back in, just powder coated. I have ordered a set of dislocation cones for a Disco 1 that I intend to modify slightly to force the springs down from the upper cradle to gain back the few inches I think I lost.

That’s the set I got from Atlantic British advertised as a front and rear set for a Disco 2 with a 2” lift. I loved my Fox shocks but they were showing signs of aging and needed replacing.

Ok so a +2 shock looks like we are working with a D2. Shocks provide dampening they don't really provide lift. Did you possibly forget the spring isolators? D2 is not my forte so I will get this in the right forum.

Will the shocks allow for the axle to drop if you jack it up on the frame?

That’s what I always thought, which why I was stumped about the apparent drop in height from before the install. I didn’t miss anything such as the isolator plates which I didn’t even have to remove.

Yes the axle will go to full droop if I disconnect the brake flex lines from the Calipers. I still needed to compress the springs to get them in their upper cradle though.

I am away from the build for two weeks right now and literally had about 5 minutes to suss out what was going on before I had to take off to work.
