anyone know where I can locate a test book? had some issues this week where I had to put it in the shop. In the future I'd like to be able to troubleshoot the hard stuff on my own instead of taking it to the dealer. any suggestions on where I can locate a test book or does anyone have 1 up for sale on the forum?

This place doesn't give any prices, but I would want to be sitting down when I found out. You might get lucky and find one on Ebay, (or look at Rovacom or another aftermarket system, cheaper and do the same things)

 

We purchased a Hawkeye and this little wonder has paid for itself at least twice over with ABS work and tracking down electrical issues. Some neat features are programing keys and resetting the learned values.

Bearmach makes this and they do come up one eBay. If you find one on eBay please know Bearmach will update it for the cost of shipping. Ours was version three and was upgraded to version five.

The Hawkeye can also be opened to Range Rovers and other Land Rover models for a fee of courses.

DAP is an authorized Hawkeye vendor here in the US and can upgrade the Hawkeye and authorize the unit for other Land Rover or Range Rover models.

A current test book would exceed the price of my D1 by a factor of twenty....

 

I wish I could say the same but my truck hasn't been the best with all the troubles I've had and the add ons. The price of the test books not even close!
