Default Testbook T4 does not connect to ABS

Hi,

I am a new Discovery II 2000 owner. I bought it with the three amigos illuminated, so I went to 2 garages that have the Land Rover diagnostics tool (one was the Testbook T4) and they both could not connect to anything but the engine, no other system was available - ABS, door locks, air bags, nothing. They were both surprised and said it can be the main computer that is broken and that is very expensive.

Apart from the three amigos and 4 dead door locks the car is great – engine runs smooth, there are no error codes (apart from the rough road fault) and everything in the interior works fine. Can it be the main computer?,Any ideas how to diagnose this problem? Is it possible be that there is no connection between the OBD socket and the computer?
Your help will be greatly appreciated as without connecting to the computer I am not able to fix and really use the car off road…

First thing to do is have someone inspect the connection point and make sure none of th pins inside the female connection are bent or missing.
