Default TF Diff Guard fit

Hi all,

I think I may be missing something (simple install, right?) but my front diff guard just does not line up no matter what I do.

With the lower guard piece flat against the bottom of the front diff (bolts in, not tight), the top bracket is quite off.

Since I ordered both front and rear at the same time, is it possible that I just got two rear brackets? The pieces that fit on top the diff are the same size - should they be different?

I'd talk to TF. Double check all the parts. I would recommend against TF diff guards. I've gone through 2, both of which failed on easy trails. I had one get pulled out by a stick, and the other got bent and deformed after hitting rock at like 2mph.

You are not wrong. I installed these about a year ago and the fit is not good.

Both my top brackets were the same as well.

I had to take a screwdriver and insert them into the slot and hole and pull them together to get the bolts in.

Very frustrating, should be a 15 minute install and ends up an hour under your truck.

Ditto here. I have a couple of incidents where the mounting bolt area got sheared off from light hits on rocks. I ended up switching to the Rovers North ones (much beefier).
