Hey gang. I just got my new intake boot and rubber seal from Atlantic British, never seen something have so much of a gap in it before. Is this just what I’m gonna have to settle with? Or is there something else I can do. About an 1/4 inch. Hard to see in the picture, but you can see the red gasket coming through here.
may pop rivet the top in and go get metal screws and washers that actually fit. Instead of these cheap plastic ones it comes with.
thanks!
edit: couldn’t find any metal ones that fit, but got some double sided tape and taped it up nice. It is now the top photo.
I guess realistically, it probably doesn’t matter that there is a gap since it’s coming from the end anyways where it pulls air from anyways, but it definitely doesn’t look right, and idk why there would be a gasket if it wasn’t going to be a tight seal 😂🤷.
but I think the double sided tape job should be good enough no?
When I get a snorkel I’ll seal it with some silicon
There should not be a gap. I used silicone to seal mine against the inner fender. As the above person said, it doesnt really matter to the system but I feel better having it sealed just in case.

I feel better about it too, but I can’t see the bottom and idk how I will seal it if I can’t see it :/
