Default They cant fit! no way possible!

So i read on this forum that a stock disco with a 2" OME lift could fit 265/75/16s... I sat my friends old one up to it... And Wow close fit! So im asking Is 265s gonna fit?! with no trimming or rubbing???

I have a 2" lift on my '98 with 245/75's. They clear fine 'til things get flexing off-road, then the rears come REAL close to rubbing the wells.
with my lift and tire selection, I think a 265/75 woulda rubbed.

265s will rub on the rear quarter panel and the radius arms. when i had 265s, all i had to trim was the part that bends in. i didn't touch the front. steering stop adjustment is easy.

llersa, It looks like youve done away with the plastic front piece that holds the stock foggers... Thats what i know it gonna get rubbed... So for 265s i have to:
Trim the inside for the rears,
Remove my front plastic bumper,
Adjust the Steering Stops,
And Radius Arms?

i don't remember if the tires rubbed on the lower part of the front bumper, but that should come off anyways to get extra clearance for when you're going off road, unless you want to keep your fogs. adjusting the steering stops keeps the tires from rubbing on the radius arms.

With only 2" of lift you're going to get a lot of rub from 265s when the suspension flexes. My 245s rubbed on the rear quarter panel. Adjusting your steering stop is very easy, just a single bolt on each side to be adjusted. If you actually take the truck off the factory air dam with the fog lights is going to get broken so save time and debris on the trail and get rid of it.

My 97 with OME HD lift, 245/75s and the air dam removed and bumper caps trimmed.

I really do miss it. I'm already working on the next Disco.
