Default Thinking about putting disco in BAT

Browsing the bring a trailer site and can’t beleive some of the prices these discos are going for. Almost all get bids in the 8-10 k range and some sell some don’t meet reserve
I’m thinking of trying this service and see how much my well cared disco can gets bids for.

So - you have to "submit" your vehicle, then they have to "approve" it.
They wont accept just anything so provide as much detail as possible with PLENTY of pictures.

You'll notice most of the ones on BAT are either rare in some way or low mileage - something makes them stand out usually........

What is it exactly you're wanting to list there?

I’m Looking at some 03/04 discos with 85 k miles and up they look pretty basic no add ons going for 9-15 k.

I will test my 03 with 86 k miles body is in great condition no oil burning or leaking

Get ready to have your truck picked completely to pieces by people that are not even interested in bidding on your auction.

All I know is once you get a truly good LR the biggest mistake you can make is selling it. It is VERY hard to find one which has been babied & properly cared for let alone not a rust bucket.

I sold my 97 RR Vitesse & my 98 LSE 50th Anniversary D1 & I never should have let em go. I finally tracked down another flawless D1 (my 95 D1) and I won’t be selling it.

Well they didn’t accept my listing
oh well

Thank you for submitting your car to Bring a Trailer Auctions for consideration. Unfortunately, we do not feel that your 2003 Land Rover Discovery is a good fit for our site and audience. We are inundated with a high volume of great submissions and simply cannot list them all.

This times 100.

Unless you're willing to sell and forget, you'll have hard time replacing the vehicles. Even the clean models with 80-90K will require a lot of overhaul. The net amount I have to spend on a LR every year beats the price of a new comparable car.

They did you a favor. You’d spend hours answering for and defending what everyone already knows about these trucks. The spectators on BAT are some seriously bored “enthusiasts”. Great site though, tons of cool vehicles. Way cooler and more rare than my Discovery anyway.
