Default Three amigos go into hiding...

Hey guys,
Long time reader, first time poster...

So the story goes like this...

Get in the 2004 D2 Friday, start the truck 3 amigos illuminate when all others go off after start, turned truck off, restarted.... lights gone.

After truck sat yesterday, got in today, started same deal-3amigos. Turn off, turn right back on, and they're gone..

Sound familiar to anyone..

Yeah, I know about the "amigo buddy", and plan on picking one up, but if with this not being a constant issue and lights are self clearing...

Thanks in advance gang!

.....what's causing the glitch.
Is this something someone has run across..

is it a common sign of eminent failure of a specific part..

The fact that it's self clearing, seems like could be a sensor.. But that's why I came to the masses, to see if someone has already had a similar experience within the sequence I explained above.

You have a sensor on it's way out. Get the ABS amigo, and figure out what it is.

I would think it is the classic shuttle valve failure. Sensor codes don't usually go away.

That's what my gut told me.

I was trying to poll the group and see if I could proactively solve the prob without shelling out the 150...recently "downsized" so "extra tool money" is impossible to find..

The last post was directed at tornado_735. Glitchy wire or sensor dirt.

Then I read lipadj46's post.
hmmm.

Thanks to both you gents.. I'll sit and watch this post see if the minds of the masters dig up any other possibilities. Everything helps.

At least I can focus on certain areas of the system instead of troubleshooting the entire deal...
