not sure how this type of 4 wheel drive works.earlyer today i was on some ice i steped on the gas most of the power went to both front wheels and only to the right rear wheel.tryed it several times same result.
is there some thing wrong with it?

 

Did you have the Diff's engaged?? It's full time 4x4 if my memory serves me right it its limited slip 4x4 unless you lock the diffs.. In that case the power would go to the wheels that slip and not the wheels that grip. Much like water seeking the path of least resistance. Try it again with the diffs engaged and see what happens.. :-)

 

The traction control applies the brakes to the wheels that are slipping.

Pretty sure you have it but you have to crawl under the truck and engage it with a wrench.

 

At best, without engaging the CDL, which you do have, you will only have power primarily to the r/r. When ETC kicks in, it will spread the power around based on what the ABS reads from the wheel sensors.
If you want true 4wheel drive, you will need to hook up a linkage to engage the CDL and add lockers of some type to each differental, then when locked up, you will have a true wheeling machine.

You can also get the linkage out of a wrecked D1.

Depends on what kind of lockers you want. If you want air lockers, they are easier than a detroit or tru track, but most people that sell them will install them. Just ship your 3rd member to them in a 5 gallon pail and they will send it back done.
