Default Throttle Body Coolant Hoses

Getting ready to attach the two coolant hoses to the throttle body. One hose is short and all rubber. The other is a long hard plastic line that extends from the expansion tank to the throttle body.

My question: If your standing in front of the Disco looking towards the engine, which coolant hose goes on the left side and which on the right? Does it make a difference?

Thanks for your help.

It does not make a difference but I think the hose that comes from the intake manifold goes on the left. Are you replacing the heater plate gasket? If you are bypass it!! That is unless you like performing that repair over and over. That component is a horrible weak link in the cooling system.

I always get slammed for this advice but it motivates me.

Personally, I like the advice, it worked for me and yes, it is a VERY weak link in the cooling system!! Much as the drive shaft is for the running train!

Just my 2 cents!!

Good day fellas...

best of luck my friend,

Thanks for the info Shane. I took pictures before breaking the engine down but something was in the way and I couldn't tell which hose went where.

Anyway, thanks man.

Similar on a D1. Not as problematic. The 2 little coolant lines running to it should be checked, but the heater doesn't leak like a D2.
