So, how much fun will it be to replace this? I noticed while doing the spark plugs that mine is weeping a bit, down onto the #3 plug.

 

$25 and labor, you might want to save the labor, apox. $100 , and do it your self.

 

That's what I was wondering... how difficult a job it would be to just do myself. I can't imagine it's too terribly complicated. After all, it's right up on top!

 

When I did it I was doing my head gaskets so I had the upper intake manifold off so it was super easy. I'm not sure if you have to remove the upper IM or not I guess it depends if you can get to the little bolts or not. But the part itself is only 4 bolts and 2 hoses to install.

 

Super easy to do, maybe 30-45min. When I did mine I just pulled the intake off the Throttle body and removed the throttle body, and of course the hoses, etc. Flipped er upside down and got to it. I think it prob could have been done without removing the throttle body but for as little of a pain as it was I thought it was worth it to be able to put it on the bench to work on.
