Throttle Body Heater Gasket Repair

noob question, but whats a good sealant to buy for this job?

I didn't use sealant on my 99. I did this with the upper intake off and the throttle body still bolted to it. I looked at where the plate attaches and it looked ok. I'd only use sealant if I was worried about the gasket sealing for some reason.

It looks like the original posters used Permatex Grey. I use that stuff on my honda's when I'm too cheap to buy hondabond.

I just did this job this afternoon. Took about 30 minutes, I used a very thin layer of Hondabond for the gasket sealant just because I had it, and I concur with Rovin4life's comment above; it's faster and easier to just yank the throttle body and flip it over.

I would have remove the throttle body also, but I already had the intake off.

Okay as we all know there are two wires that connect to the heater throttle gasket, I broke the one coming from the antifreeze tank to the gasket, I don't know the name of this wire/tube anyone point me in the right direction? need it ASAP

its a coolant line, its called the "expansion tank to throttle body" line. atlantic british sells it for like 15 bucks. theres actually another one coming off the expansion tank going to the radiator might as well get that one too, if one was brittle the other one is as well.

That is it. Here is the other plastic tube that comes off the reservoir, that will break it you look at it wrong:

I just changed the throttle plate on my DII - Thanks for the detailed post. Took care of it in about 20 minutes.
