I have the Cabela extended roof basket. The basket came with the bracketry to mount to the Thule cross bars:
Cabela's TrailGear 2 Rooftop Carrier : Cabela's
Other cargo baskets which you can consdier:
Thule Moab
Kuat Vagabond
Rhino-Rack XTray
Yakima Road Warrior
One thing to consider if you were to buy these items at retail ..... by the time you buy the Thule leg attachments, cross bars and roof basket.... it would be almost the cost of a used safari roof rack. I was able to get my cheap as there was a local shop (when I used to live in Portland) which sold use Thule and Yakima parts.

Yup, the 11" tall one is what you need, in order to clear the factory roof rack. I got a 62" basket mounted on mine, and originally had it more or less centered on the roof. But the loadmaster training in me came out, and I actually ended up scooting it forward, so the center of the basket is roughly in line with the middle of the passenger doors. So the basket itself isn't "centered" on the roof any more, but the center of balance of the rack is more in line with the center of the truck, to keep the weight more evenly distributed between the wheels, as opposed to more rear-end heavy, like I originally had it.
And no, I'm not OCD, I'm more CDO (you know, the letters being in alphabetical order), lol...
