Default Tick Tick Tick

I could not stand it anymore so I took the Rover to a Midas shop to find out what the ticking issue was. I thought it was either the lifters or an exhaust issue. They found a crack on the right exhaust manifold. I asked him if he could weld it but he said he could not due to policy (Which I respect). I am heading to Kansas City for a week and want to drop it off at the dealership to get it taken care of since no one wants to mess with it in this town. Will I be ok driving the Rover 3 Hours on the Hwy with a cracked exhaust manifold. And as a long shot does anyone know of a shop in NW Arkansas that works on Rovers...ha ha thought i would ask.

Thanks

Chris

Do you know how much more $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ it will be to go buy a new manifold and have the dealer install it, HUGE.
Go to some one like this, http://www.roverlandparts.com/index....TS&Category=79 order one and have a local garage install it.

Wow 100$ that is the least expensive part I have ever had to buy for the Rover. Can a decent exhaust places install it? I looked at it and I would try but my luck I would break a bolt.

Thanks,

Chris

I did my drivers side in 20 minutes. It is harder because of the steering shaft. A little tight to get out. Easy job

It is a pretty easy job, but if you do not want to try it i am sure any shop could do that one for you.
