Default Time to say so long to my 04

Hello All,

Its come time to let my 04 go to a new home as I don’t have room in my driveway anymore to keep it around. I bought it brand new and it’s going to be a tough split as I’ve put lots of love and hard work into maintaining her.

I’m looking for some guidance on what Price I should list it for as It looks like prices are all over the board.

-121k mile
-Vienna Green
-Turner Engineering Top Hatted short block installed at 82k miles, drips oil most likely from valve covers
- No accident or body damage other that small dings
-Does have rear frame rot, although I don’t feel it is in anyway structurally unsound.
-Runs and drives very nice
-16” wheels/tires installed with original 18” wheel sold with car.

Thanks

Pluses:
  1. One Owner
  2. Top hat motor
  3. 04 is desirable
Negatives:
  1. Frame rot
Correctling frame rot is very hard for most informed buyers, casual buyers may not be as concerned.

I sold my P38 on Cars and Bids this past summer and was very pleased with the price I got.

The nice thing about Cars and Bids is they are not as picky as Bring a Trailer and will let you list a D2 that is not perfect.

You can check out past D2 sales to get a gauge of the prices.

Very easy process, go no reserve.

Do you have any pictures of the frame rot? Turner short block is a big selling point.

If my time wasn’t an issue, I’d be better off pulling the Turner engine and I could probably get $2500.00 just for the engine alone. Aside from the rot, the truck is really nice. I’d donate it before I sold it for a grand.

If the rot is contained to behind the rear wheels, a quarter or third frame section would fix it just fine. Well worth the investment for an otherwise nice truck with a strong motor.

That's pretty bad. Have you checked the frame near the cats? If there are holes there it is a parts truck. If its only the rear third then maybe someone will buy it to repair.
