Tire questions??
So my 97 disco has a 3" "big blue" lift and i was wonder what people were running for size's?? i want to pretty much fill the fenders and add some width, but still wanna be able to flex a little? any ideas on what sizes and brands people are running? i was thing like a 265 75 16 but that may be too big.
Thanks,
Kyle

I have the 2" big blue springs. I have 245/75. I was going to go with 265/75, but did not want to trim the rear wheel wells. My 245's come REAL close to rubbing the bottom edges at full flex.
If you don't mind minor trimming and adjusting the steering stops, the 265's are a popular size.
As for brand/type, depends what you're doing. I have Cooper Discoverer S/T. They have been an excellent all-around tire. Quiet, seem to be wearing great, and do better in mud than I thought they would.

245/75R16 fill the wheel wells nicely with a lift and allow for a lot of flex. I did have a little rubbing on the rear fender with my OME HD lift and 245/75s. I had Goodyear Duratracs which I really liked but thought the rubber on the sidewall was a little thin. After a few off road trips I had places on the sidewall where the layer underneath were visible. Didn't effect the tire but I didn't like seeing the layers under the outer skin especially on tires with less than 5000 miles.
