Default Tire Questions

I had this on the tire forum but wasnt getting any responses...

I went to NTB saturday to see some options for new tires, and they recommended the Michelin energy mxv4 (2003 Disco SE). I am on the highway ALOT, if I go off road its in a grass field or in a construction site (usually work related). Anyone know anything good/bad about this set? Have a place with a better price? Any help is appreciated.

When you start looking at the wear factor, don't know how well they hold up, and the cost. I would also suggest looking at Bridgestone Duellers, they make a great "H" rated directional tire that I have seen on a few truck and the people really seem to like them.

The Michelin Cross Terrains have been working well for me.They are super quiet and seem to offer plenty of traction dispite their road tread design.

I have gone through many different tires on my other vehicles, everything from "the best" to "the worst"and these are hands down the best tires you are going to get for a rediculous price (Low). These are extremely quiet, great grip on wet, dry, snow, and mud. They last a very longtime also.

I highly suggest Sumitomo tires.

Tirerack.com has a great feature that allows owners to report their experiences with a given tire and rate it performance across several categories. here is one that many really seem to like for a reasonable price:

I always used Michelin LTX M/S tires with good luck and can be
used for light off road, and wears great on road.
Load range C worked best.
