Tire size discussion
I have an '02 Discovery and I am about to purchase new tires. I am running the stock 255 55 18 right now but would like to upsize a bit if possible, without a lift. I was wondering if anyone is running a larger size tire that doesn't cause any rubbing or other issues.
Thanks for your help

I've got factory 16's on mine. '03 Disco, 42K miles, little off-road, nothing crazy.
-Mike; would you recommend a 16" other than the factory size? And it so, why.
-thanks

RE: Tire size discussion
As per DiscoMike's suggestion I went with the heavy duty OME lift front and rear and added 16" wheels with BFG 265/75/16 TA tires. It's the ideal set up. Period. Okay, ideal for going off road and still having a truck notoverly tweaked for my commute to my office gig.
I resisted dropping the coin on 16" wheels, but the 18" wheels really do suck for off roading. If the wheels don't suck the selection of 18" tires REALLY sucks as do the prices of those tires.
For the record the OME lift is a touch bumpy. If I did less off roading I might have stuck with the medium duty OME springs I initially had.
