Default Too much oil?

I'm afraid after an oil change I just received they put maybe a quarter or half a quart too much oil in it. Is it bad to drive it this way? Thanks

Yes. Have them fix it at their expense.

Wink Too much oil

I agree. I would rather be half a quart low than half a quart over. I can't swear to it, but it might cause something to leak (a seal or gasket) that wouldn't otherwise, and with a Land Rover you certainly don't need anything to assist in causing oil leaks.

i feel that that little over will not negatively affect your engine. But being as **** as I am, i would probably get some out via oil filter (cliche?) hell, you can just loosen it and loose 1/4 qt. then tighten back. but tornado is right, they should fix at their expense, but i hate oil change places!

When cold and sitting on level ground, exactly where is the oil on your dip stick?
