Smoke went away after a drive. I guess it was the PB blaster and all the other crap I used to get the bolts and stuff off. I ran into another issue, check engine light, turned out to be bank 2 sensor 1 O2 sensor so I replaced that and now no check engine light. Also no more excess stuff coming out the tail pipe. I have to complete a drive cycle to get this thing ready for emissions, but so far so good guys.

I want to say thanks to all of the forum members who have helped or even read this thread. I myself am far from a mechanic in fact very recently have I completed my first oil change yet I was inclined to purchase the rover for such a great price ($1000) knowing that it had engine problems that I would have to fix myself instead of paying a shop over $5000. I took my time reading the manual step by step and got the job done. If I can do this job anyone can! One thing I would suggest is that you grabbed a Bluetooth OBD2 Scanner and the Torque phone app. Torque phone app is good for pulling fault codes and reading real time information on digital temps, emissions readiness, etc.
