Get the trailer wiring harness from Atlantic British that plugs directly in to the factory socket inside, behind the passenger side tail light. That will give you a 4-flat connector so you'll need to go to any auto parts store and get an adapter to go from the 4-flat to 7-round. Rovers come standard with a battery charge line already run so the only wire you will need to run from the front of the truck is the signal from the brake controller to the trailer plug. I am actually in the process of wiring up my D1 right now, hope to be done today. I'll post some pictures as I get it done.
The standard Rover conversion package, doesn't, I believe, come set up for brakes.
I would look up a good trailor shop, pick the brake package you want based on your needs and have them wire it up for you. Do not go to U-haul.
