Default Towing a D2

Does anypne know if you can tow a land rover without a trailer? Looking to tow it with my truck.

Do you mean flat tow it with all 4 wheels on the road?

Exactly. Like the RV people do with wranglers all the freaking time. If it's too much of a pita, I won't bother. It'll give me an excuse to get a flat bed. But it would be easier to drag it around on a whim.

I would drop both driveshafts if I were going to do it.

Did that once with a RRC it was pretty hateful.

You can flat tow a disco, (and any rig with a transfer case you can put in neutral). Put transfer case in neutral, Leave automatic transmission in Park, leave the steering unlocked.

Thanks guys. I like ~~knowing~~ I can. A flatbed would be ideal behind the Ford... Plus if the Rover really blows up while I'm playing it'll be nice to just tow her home.

I know it isn't the healthiest thing for them.
