Towing, I could see using the rover for certain applications and on certain types of roads...even with the absences of gonads.

Actually, ran across a small pop-up trailer...within my wheel house, price-wise...and considered getting it to pull behind the rover.

But, anything larger would be miserable, towing-wise...in my opinion.

exactly. 2000lb would be my limit for "cross country" towing.

Eeer, I'm actually British, Jewish origins to be exact, but living in France fortunately/happily 100% atheist in my beliefs

KingKoopa, rather than argue about the suitability of the D2 as a tow truck, I'd far rather agree to disagree with you before the subject degenerates into personal insults etc. I actually vehemently disagree with you but that's my viewpoint rather than comparing modern US pickups with 13-20 year old D2's.

I got no pony in the race man, I'm just in it for the laughs lol.

And to be fair, all my towing experience is with trucks as old or older than a D2 so I still win lol.

You'll be fine...






The camper in the photo above is a 28 footer that weighs about 5,400 empty. Rover has plenty of power to pull it around flat areas and up fairly steep inclines. Driving over the Rockies might present a problem...

I have to say though, anything over 60-65 on the interstate and it pushes me around due to the short wheel base of the Rover and the length of the camper. Below 60 on local roads and it handles really well.

Having said that, we are looking for a Chevy 2500 to pull the camper on an upcoming multi-state trip. Hi speed interstate driving is unpleasant.

The D2 pulled that D1 in the photo above with no problems what so ever.
