Towing: S value

Can anyone tell me what the towing S value is of a year 2000 (W reg) Discovery tdi 2.5?

Sorry if this is in the wrong place. This is my first post.

I do not know what the "S" towing is, but a stock Disco is rated at 5500 lbs US.

'S' Value

Guessing here...

The 'S' value is an EC term that typically refers to the tongue weight. See below...

"Please note that the coupling head will almost certainly (for all modern
trailers/caravans) have an EC approval marking or plate which itself will

have a specified maximum ‘nose load’ or ‘S’ value."

In N.A., DII's are fitted with a Class III 2" receiver if factory supplied. A Class III hitchs are rated for 5000 lb. gross trailer weight (~2268 kg) and a 500 lb. tongue weight (~227 kg).
