I can't say about lockers on rovers, but lockers on jeeps and snow are a very bad combonation for steering, or the lack of it! I have both a jeep and a rover, haven'thad the rover in the snow yetbut I would have thought the rover's weight would have helped it in the snow.

The jeep is about 2000 #s lighter but if you engaged your CDL, you should run circles around him.
Living hear in the denver area, I have had a number of opprotunitys to pull jeeps from the snow.
Both are good vehicles but matched up vehicles usually will show the Disco out performing Jeeps. I love hitting the trail and watching a new Rubicon fight to follow me.

If you haven't checked to see if you have one, or no one has made the conversion back to CDL for your truck, then it is not hooked up.
You might want to send me your tele number and a good time to call, I would be glad to call you and walk you thru it.

Hello Mike...

I have a couple of questions. I have a 2003 Disco HSE with 18" wheels.

1. I have a trip planned for Tahoe and Im worried that my stock tires are not going to cut it in the snow. Any advice on what brand and type of snow chains I should purchase?

2. Since my vehicle is an '03 is there an option to Lock the CDL?

Thanks,
Kenneth

Late 2001 to 2003 are not lockable. YOu have to change out the case. They came back with it in 04.... YOur 02 won't have it, sorry..

disco03hse: You can't lock, and someone else may be able to suggest chains...

Thanks for the info. However I guess my question is this: Is there a way to "convert" or "Upgrade" what I have to gain the ability to Lock?
