Default Traction Control

I was at an event this weekend having a great time off and we went through a deep obstacle. I ended getting stuck as I winched out my buddy said let off the brake? My front drivers wheel was not turning while the other wheels were? Why would that happen?

From what I read that’s how it works I think the system spins the wheels with less resistance
thats why I’m putting in a center locking diff

traction control applies braking to a spinning wheel under certain momentum situations. if there's no momentum then wheels with low resistance will spin. without a locked centre diff, the axle with low resistance will spin while the axle with high resistance does not move.
