Default trailer lights

Well bought a 2000 disco and love it
but man I have to relearn everything all over again
Here is my problem. Bought a 7 pin round to 4 flat converter
so far so good went to get my boat out of storage and light issue
all seem to work fine except for left turn.
when I turn the right turn on in the car a trailer icon flashes with the indicator
turn the left on no trailer turn and no indicator
Any ideas???? any help would be appreciated
Thanks

I assume that you checked your bulbs on the trailer?

Im sorry yes I checked the trailer lights completely
all work fine
I guess I could splice in a wire from the tail light of the disco
to the plug and see.
I also pulled the passenger side tail light off and behind it found the connections for the
7 pin harness but also there by the plugs is a 3" X 4" black box
wiring computer or something???

That black box is so that your seperate stop/turn system will work with your trailer.

Most cars use the brake light as a turn signal too.

Imports use seperate stop/turn bulbs and they will not work with a trailer without a adaptor.

I checked the plug on the rear of the Disco and the left turn has no
power can I jump a wire from the turn signal harness and bypass the little
black box?

No. You might need to bite the bullet and buy a new wiring kit. But first check and see if you have power before the black box. If you do then the box is bad and you need a new one.
