Default Trailer plug

I got this plug off a parts truck
I was thinking of picking up another one but was looking at the uhaul site and they don’t seem to match this trailer plug I have.
Not to familiar with plugs and trailers. Is there standard ones or ones that are common used ??

For whatever reason LR put a euro plug on a NA unit. You will need to replace it with a "Bargman" 7-way style plug.

You can get an adapter to fit the plug, but it is not cheap. You might be better off cutting the plug off and using the adapter box that plugs in to the taillights, that is what you need to go from EU taillight configuration to US configuration.

the adapter from AB isn't too bad and it's simple but I think I'd clean that wiring up so makes sense to just put a NA plug on it.

the guy that had this parts truck said they used to tow a food truck around with it. I’m going to look at a adapter for it

I grab the OEM trailer harnesses whenever I can and just cut off the funky plug which the adapter = $$$ and go to a standard 4 wire config. Cost ya maybe 10.00 at the most. If you look at the wires going down to the plug = 4 wires. You basically match em up color for color and bingo. All the trailers I've towed = 4 wire flat plug works perfect.
