not complicated. It's the 12 or so rivets that you have to drill out . They are the only PITA. Panel originally installed from below as body and frame are joined on assembly line. Since you probably don't plan to remove the body, you can tilt and lift the shift mount panel up and place on top of tunnel. You can do this with the drive selector installed, but might have to undo the 4 transfer case selector bolts.......or maybe not....can;t remember
