Default Transfer case front ouput shaft play up and down

Hi all,

Forward Shaft, aft of u-joints (New front shaft w/ grease fittings) output shaft flange ( out of transfer case has up and down movement. The movement is not in rotation but in vertical/side to side. Found while greasing joints and looking for cause of vibration at acceleration and hwy speeds.

out put flange is not wet rather it is dry and shows to have been dry for some time. My guess is this is not normal and may be the cause of the vibration.

Best guess is
Transfer Box Output Flange Kit Rear
Item: STC3433

Any help would be great including a short idea of how to accomplish the repair.

I only ask about the repair as there is always a trick to everything.

Thanks in advance

Chuck

It's actually good to know that someone was finally able to get rid off vibrations. I'm still working on mine.

I sent you a PM, telling you that the nut was loose, based on my experience twice before; you told me that you would let me know what you found, yet you did not; you didn't thank me either but managed to thank Dusty, why?-------LOL Have a nice day, though.

Default Sorry

Everyone,

I made a mistake in not thanking Early Rover, It is without a doubt that he was the one that really fixed the issue with myself only being the one who got dirty. I thought I was following up with him thinking Dusty1 sent the Note on the Nut being loose, believe me that was the problem and Early Rover pinpointed it for me, Dusty1 I am no way not thanking you, you helped with the direction on DIY.

I hope no harm no foul.

Thanks in advance,

Chuck
