Oreillys Auto Parts ordered 2 transmission filters for me because there is a difference between them so I'm asking why 1 has the 1-inch extension built-in and the other does not, and which one do I need for the 2003?

The photo on AB shows shows the filter with the extended tube, pan gasket and 2 O-rings.

The 2 kits at Oreillys each had the pan gasket and only 1 large O-ring, but neither had the small ring that ABs kit shows. What gives?

Has anyone had transmission morning sickness where the truck doesn't like to shift from 3-4 until it has warmed a few seconds and will synthetic fluid fix that problem?

I went with the FK285 last time I changed it, I am 99% sure. My store is already closed, otherwise I would call and have someone check my account history for filters I've purchased. The kit I got had all of the seals and O-rings needed, even though they weren't shown in the picture.

 

On the 2000?

I'm wondering about that extension tube. AB shows the one with it. Google search has images of both versions. Guess I have to call AB in the AM

 

Yes. On My 2000, and also a 2003 I worked on last summer. I just checked Rovers North, and they show the same filter for D1s, D2s, classics, and P38s.

 

Ya thanks I checked that out. Why does one kit cost $100 more than the other? Even the cheap one is over-priced compared to $15 at Oreillys

 

Did you use the filter with the 1-inch pick-up tube?? This is my main concern

 

I checked my account history at work this morning. I used a FK279 on the 2002 D2 I worked on last year.

No worries. I remember I ordered in every option for several years so I could look at them to see the differences, and that was the number that best matched what the original looked like.
