Default Transmission fluid when hot and cold...

Hi.
Many vehicles show in the dipstick, markings that differ for checking the fluid level when cold or when hot. And can be perhaps around an inch+ from one to the other.
How that translates to our ZF 4HP22 transmissions ?

The level is supposed to be read only when cold; does it mean that when hot, fluid will rush out if the filler plug is removed at idle/neutral ?

Possibly but then the fluid is also distributed throughout the transmission. Either way, you'll get a false reading
