Proper Cold and Hot Tire Pressure Off Road
Quick question. I'm running the standard alloy 16" L.R. wheel. Letter D on page 44 on the AtlanticBritish 2007/2008 Catalog. I'm running 265/75/16 E rated Pro Comp Extreme A/T's.
First, never check a tire after it has been driven on.
When cold you need to be at 40 all the way around, plus or minus 2 #'s. Go much lower and you will start loosing MPG, go higher, except when heavily loaded and it will ride to rough and can wear the center section of the tread out too fast.
As for airing down, if it has a 3 ply rated side wall you can go to 18#'s, any lower and you can roll a bead.
