Question Transmission temperature indicator light...

Hi.
Does anyone know at what temperature the red warning lamp on the dash comes on ?
Just exploring if such warning could be used for engine coolant also/instead, with an additional sensor and some wiring surgery...
I can tweak a sensor to put out the signal at any proper value...

Also... If someone has witnessed it; when such overtemperature warning turns on, is there a chime with it ?

Don't know the actual temp that triggers the warning. Why not just install an aftermarket coolant temp gauge?

I already have a very good coolant thermometer, with its settable audible alarm.

I was thinking on other DII owners on the board that do not have such; to post a hopefully simple wiring modification that I could come up with, that would provide at least a decent coolant warning by using/repurposing the existing stock features.
Like the stock coolant thermometer overtemperature red light, but to warn earlier before damage is done.

Im thinking that it should be wired separately. I dont want to mess with the discos electronics. I think it all goes to the computer and modifying it might affect other components when running diagnostics. Wiring alone is easy but our discos have a mind of their own. They will throw all kinds or code not in the book. Though I'm just guessing.
