Default Treadwright Howler or Guard dog Mt

Having trouble deciding which to get. Does anyone have experience with the howler? I have heard that the guard dog is surprisingly quiet. I don't mind some tire howl, as long as it isn't whaling loud. I currently have Firestone destination MT 265 75 16 that I traded my 18" wheels and tires for on stock suspension with no clearance problems and they have about 90% of their tread left but they are shot. They are cupped, are very loud and shake/vibrate bad especially over 65mph. I had them balanced when I first got them to make sure they weren't just off balance, and the steering wheel now shakes at 45, and the vibrations are still there. I am not driving it much except in the city to go to work which isn't far and don't go above 45 mph. I am looking for the best off road traction, and If there isn't much difference between the two I'll go for the quieter one.
