And tricks to installing the long side drip rail trim?
I have come into possession of perfect condition left and right drip rail trim pieces.
Given how rare (right?) and fragile these unobtanium trim pieces are. I want tp make sure I get them installed without incident, so advice on how to proceed would be appreciated.
Clip in from top to bottom or bottom to top?
Start at front and work back toward the rear curve or start at the rear curve and work forward?

Use a helper and get the front and back tucked in first, then you can rotate into position. I let mine sit in the sun for a bit just to make them a bit more flexable.
BTW - at least about 6 month ago you could still get these brand new at the dealer - not cheap but under $200.

I paid $5 each from the junkyard for 2 perfect pieces, one for each side. I am giddy with the anticipation of installing them.
Waiting for a super hot day and letting them soften in the sun is a great idea. I think I will also use silicon spray to get them to slide on easier -- good idea?
And where are yinz from in the 'burgh?

The ** single biggest ** tip I have is mentioned above... do this on a warm day, in direct sun. The plastic easily cracks at low temps when removing/installing (even new ones... ). And I start by putting the rear corner on (again... warm plastic!) then slowly working my way to front. If you haven't removed the A pillar and front corner molding, you can tuck the front edge in behind the front corner molding too...
