Tricky Dick - CDL Project
I got lucky and found mine in an '04 boneyard truck a few years ago for $75. I'm not trying to gloat and I'm not trying to say everyone can have the same good fortune, but sometimes patience is rewarded.
update
I took out the old hi low assembly and saved the clips.
There was an oh **** moment when I didn't see the CDL nipple immediately
However...it was there!!
I figured out how to remove the metal plate from the truck so I can clean it up and get it ready for CDL greatness
I just ordered the CDL Britpart from LRDirect
(thanks Jay for the heads up on that one!!)
Going to spend time cleaning up the bits I pulled off and replacing rusty nuts/bolts till my shifter comes in.

Last 04 CDL I snagged from a pick n pull was $18.00 out the door, and that was the shift ****, metal plate, both linkages, and all hardware.
In my area the #1 thing missing from all the D2's are the sunroofs. A local dude in Houston makes his living installing them into one Chevy Pickup trucks.... I feel sorry for those people that get their perfect roofs cut open to install a leaky/delicate LR sunroof. I talked to the guy once and he said he does the job for 500.00 and gets both sunroofs for 100.00, so he is making a killing. I just wonder what his return/failure rate is lol.

From what he told me dealerships are the ones sending him 2016 pickups to install the LR sunroofs into. I'm guessing he's either fixing em or just leaving it to the dealership to deal with.
He said especially on the single cab pickups as the LR sunroof tilts up and out without needing the room to slide back.

Update
CDL installed!! Man...that CDL cable is too long in my opinion and getting stuff button back up was a HUGE pain. I left the center console off as I need to do a little clean up work on the console and order a new cigar lighter.
I do need to get back under and check the bolts on the cable and get them slightly adjusted to reduce any play.
Forgot to mention...
The LRDirect Britpart came with new CDL stickers. You do need to purchase an M8 1.25 bolt, M8 Washer (not fender), and an M8 Lock Washer. The 14 sheet metal screws were a perfect fit.
My only complaint is that the Britpart *** doesn't fit the existing boot.
