Default Tricky Dick - SRS P0000

My SRS light has been coming on and off lately so of course I run a scan with my iCarsoft LR II

I get P0000. I clear the code and it will come right back as soon as the ignition is turned on.

There are no other codes that support the SRS light coming on.

I am assuming there is an issue with one of the seat belts or an air bag.

Any thoughts on how to check if it is seat belt or air bag, or is there something else I should be checking?

My SRS light pops every 5 years or so. I disconnect the battery, unplug the airbag and plug it back in and it stays off. Until 3 days ago! Looks like I’ll be pulling it again.

Do you pull the fuse to disconnect the airbag or physically disconnect the airbag?

I physically disconnect the airbag itself.

p0000 is not an airbag code, its a generic non-defined fault. Does the iCarsoft have the ability to do SRS faults? Not every scanner can.

I would reach under the seats and check the seat belt pretensioner connections(they are yellow I believe) its common for **** to get under there and dislodge the connections.

Then do a capacitive discharge, pull off the battery connections and let it discharge for a few minutes and then reconnect

I am not sure on the iCarsoft ability to check SRS codes as this is my first.

I will poke around based off your feedback and will report back to this thread

iCarsoft LRII should be able to read LR specific codes. You just choose LR vs OBD2 or JAG, then you go to the Airbag Module section to read the faults for that module.

I did go to LR and the SRS section, I am on version 12.11.

I will go to the airbag specific section and see if anything comes up.

Think I’m running 12.20 on my gen 1 LRII doubt that will change anything.
