Trim model questions/research
Hello,
I have a very peculiar 2004 SE7 discovery. What makes this particular discovery so odd is the "trail" badge affixed to the right of the "DISCOVERY" lettering on the rear door. At first i thought someone before me had slapped it on there for who knows what reason, but i did a bit of research and found that it is a factory badge... and thats it. This discovery is "as stated above" a '04 SE7 in Vienna Green. The interior is the two tone tan/black combo. The only other examples i have seen of a "trail" discovery is a white one and a grey one, but no green. Ive owned 9 discoveries over the past few years and have never come across one before or ever heard of them. I thoroughly went through it and have not found anything different from a standard SE7, It has signs of having a roof rack and a front bumper (like the white example i had found), and the air suspension in the back has been removed (thank god), and i know this because it was throwing a code for the non existent air suspension (easy fix in a computer).
Does anyone know anything about the trail edition?! Im utterly stumped and fascinated.
Thanks

Haven't finished the entire article, but in Alloy & Grit's latest addition...they have an article about the Dll. And, they mention during the final days of the Dll (04)...the factory cleared out everything they had...as far as...related accessories and such. Kind of "making up" different options/packages as they went.
Pisses me off...l just read this article last night...and l can't remember what model they had those "trail" badges on. Be right back...

Wow, thats facinating! thank you for the information. this certainly makes me even more proud of what i have in that it was put together with spare parts just for the hell of it.
Pictures above kind of got messed up loading. Actually, loaded the first picture for "Best4X4".
Second two are for you...
They mention how many G4's and Westminster's, but no numbers on the trail editions.
Brian.
