Trouble Starting
#12
Hey guys I have 1996 disco that seems to take a few seconds to turn over. When it does start up, I have no problems with it, runs great. Could this be due to a loose fuel injector or dirty pistons? Also when it turns over there is a smell of gas in the air.
Thanks

Correct terminology goes a long way to helping diagnose on the internet.
Crank = Turn over - From the days cars had a hand crank to turn over the engine
Fire = from the fuel/air mixture in the combustion chamber "firing" because of an ignition source.
If your starter works, your engine always turns over, but it may not always fire if you have fuel, ignition or air problems.
