Default tune up question

I would like to do a tune-up on my Discovery II, and noticed that the Distributor location doesnt leave much room to work on the wires. Is it necessary to remove the Intake manifold to replace the plug wires? And what would be a good manufacturer to use for the plugs and wires? Any advice would help?

Yes you must remove the intake manifold. And you MUST use Mangnecor plug wires. Anything else and you will be doing this job again in a month.

Its a 5 hr job. If you have small hands you can feed the wires through.

If you want to peace of mind then have someone else do it. A tune up isint complicated. But on a DII it does take paitence.

If you have small hands, I can walk you thru this without removing the intake manifold.
How many miles on the truck and what years is it?

Ok MIke that would be great! Year is 99, Mileage 130,000... I'm all about purchasing these Magnecor wires, which plugs should I get?
RoverConnection.com has OEM plugs, are they better than Bosch which makes my engine?

Bosch doesnt make the engine, they make the engine management system.
