Turner Engine D2 went for $22,500 on BAT
Pretty interesting.
A D2 with 150k miles, Turner engine, driveshaft and some other goodies went for $22,500 https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...-discovery-51/
That is pretty encouraging for someone who someone who is all in probably about that if you include the purchase price and everything I have done to my Discovery.
It means that the value is there if you want to go ahead with an engine swap.
Anyone have any thoughts?

Ha! +1 on that. Crazy amount for a mostly stock truck (besides the top hat engine, lift and sliders). The rear sun roof doesn’t work. I would expect that truck to be in mint condition. It does look pretty clean. I would have guessed more around $12k, maybe 15 tops.
From the comments, I think one of the door locks doesn't work either. Crazy that they wouldn't have bothered to fix that.
I was watching that auction and excited that it went for so much. A rising tide lifts all boats as they say. Didn't that truck belong to one of the members here? I thought I recognized it. The only nit picks I could find were the D1 wiper arms were crooked and it was missing he compressor shroud in the engine bay. The latter being something I look for as a tell of how well a truck's been cared for. In this case it's not quite the same thing due to all the work performed. Otherwise a fantastic looking truck, gives us all something to shoot for. Well done.
