U-Joints
Greetings guys, I have come to not trust my local dealership, due to some fishy stuff happening while my truck is there, whilethings I never had problems with breaking or going wrong soon after a visit to their facilities.
SOOOO, even if the dealer inspected the front driveshaft'su-joints and said that they were perfecly fine and very solid, I would like to change them with greasable ones. But no one around here has any listing for Land Rovers.
So my question is.....I think I've heard something about Volvo u-joints that would fit or something like that.Could someone recommend which u-joints to use with a part number please. Also, how many do I need. 2 or 3 ??? I think I recall that the front driveshaft has 1 u-joint a the bottom, and 2 up top because of the double cadran type attachment. right???
Thanks for any info,
Darover

RE: U-Joints
Thats because its not a discovery part per-se. Have them search by part number or go to Napa if the knuckledraggers can't find it for you.
Nationals? Know nothing about it... Have to search the forum for more info.
Edit: just googled it. Don't think I'll be paying upwards of $150 to run trails
