Default Which u-joints are usually the culprit ???

Guys, been reading on the u-joint filures for a while now, and plan on having that job done next spring. My 2000 D2 has 57000 miles and the front u-joint on my front driveshaft is greasable, so I keep it greased up. My Disco had been in europe from 2002 to 2005 and the ex-owner had removed the cats while abroad.

My question is regarding which u-joints are usually the first to fail when they do??? the front one or the double cadran ones??? Which is the most common???

It's the double cardan. I had Malmberg rebuild mine a couple weeks ago. Still going to look at making some armour to cover the bits it would impact if it broke though.

Wow... I bet a simple driveshaft loopmight do the trick, unless it's really close to the transmission, I can't remember.

Ajh, did malmberg do all your u-joints on top of rebuilding your double cadran ??? Did you supply the u-joints and centering ball ??? How much???

Cause I called them last spring to have them do the job, and they said that they couldn't because they had absolutely no listing for Land Rovers.
